 Th e only cricketer to win four consecutive Man of The Match Awards in ODI.

 The eight highest run- scorer in ODI history and second among the Indians, with 11,363 runs.

 He holds the record of registering the highest individual score by any batsman in an ICC Champions Trophy final. He scored 117 runs in that match.

 He was also the first player to score 3 centuries in the history of ICC Champions Trophy.

 Sourav Ganguly’s parents gave him the nickname Maharaj( means King) when he was a kid.
