CONTROVERSY

 In 1998, Johnny Lever was sentenced seven days of imprisonment for disrespecting the Constitution of India and National Anthem of India at the birthday party of Anis Ibrahim’s Son in Dubai.

 In 2013, Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal threatened to launch an agitation against Johnny; He was accused of preaching Christianity and gathering Hindus. They claimed that Johnny had published an 18 booklet, which contained stories of the experience o f people of the Christian faith. The Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal warned to stop it and if he didn’t stop, they would organize ‘Hawan’ in Johhny’s house.

 In 2019, Johnny was making jokes on Salman Khan’s hit and run case during an event and made fun of his driving skills.
